Get Involved

KSSC works with schools, government institutions, development partners, companies, youth-led organisations and individuals. There are four straightforward ways to join this work.

Four ways to get involved

Partner With Us

For non-governmental organisations, government institutions, development partners, companies and community organisations. KSSC builds long-term strategic relationships with partners in the youth and community services sectors, and maintains a membership and partnership approach that sets out what each side can expect of the other.

  • Co-design and co-deliver programmes in our areas of work
  • Reach adolescents, young people and women through established community structures
  • Draw on our field experience in rural, fish landing site and refugee settlement communities

Support Our Work

Individuals and organisations can support KSSC programmes financially or by providing resources. Support helps strengthen education, youth leadership, health, gender equality, economic empowerment and community development initiatives.

  • Fund a programme area or a specific activity
  • Provide scholastic, sanitary, agricultural or training materials
  • Contribute equipment, training expertise or facilities

How to give

Bank, mobile money and online giving details will be published here once confirmed by the Secretariat. In the meantime, please contact us directly to discuss supporting a programme.

Volunteer

The KSSC Secretariat is made up of staff and volunteers. If you are interested in supporting community and youth programmes, whether you are in Jinja, elsewhere in Uganda or further afield, we would like to hear from you.

  • Community mobilisation and field support
  • Training, mentorship and facilitation
  • Documentation, media, research and administration

Volunteers working with children and young people are subject to our child protection policy and code of conduct.

Collaborate

KSSC is working to improve coordination, communication and joint effort among youth organisations and stakeholders. We welcome organisations and institutions that want to explore joint programmes, shared advocacy and community initiatives.

  • Joint advocacy and policy engagement
  • Shared research, learning and documentation
  • Referral networks and coordinated service delivery
